Description:
Since 1965, The Landmark Trust has rescued and restored over 200 buildings of architectural and historic importance. These are then let all year round for holidays. This simple idea created a virtuous circle whereby the income generated was reinvested back into the buildings for their maintenance and to prevent them from ever falling into disuse again. . A wide range of people get to experience, for a short period of time, living in a historic building. There are also two let properties in the US and four in Italy. All properties have been restored to the highest conservation standards, with particular emphasis given to traditional materials and craftsmanship.
