Description:
The church of Ayios Panteleimon in Thessaloniki was known by the name of lshakiye Mosque during the period of Ottoman rule. Consolidation and conservation of the old structure has been carried out in such a way that the building's originality would be preserved at the greatest possible degree and the repairs are clearly distinguishable from original work, so that the authenticity of the latter will not be placed in doubt.
