Description:
Simpson&Brown were commissioned to repair, restore and alter 6 town houses on a prominent Square in Edinburgh, Scotland to make fully integrated and fully served Headquarters for The National Trust. These houses form two thirds of the Palace Front designed by Robert Adam and built between 1805 and 1820. Their condition varied, but all had been badly damaged by commercial management over the last 30 years. They were carefully repaired and restored to their original Iayouts, with a link corridor at basement Ievel to adapt to the needs of the Trust. Original details were retained or restored as necessary. Computer and communications cabling to contemporary standardswas installed.
