Description:
Bristol Historic Harbour, a partly disused and run down area of the City's Dockland now transformed through repair, conversion to new uses as well as new building for leisure, cultural and commercial uses. Public opposition has eventually resulted in this use of the area. A great number of different historical buildings in this site have been restored for the new use, achieving again prominence, not through shipping and trade but through the development of tourism and leisure activities and the provision of housing and employment. Landscaping and lighting including floodlighting.
