Description:
Rehabilitation and adaptation of the Casa Palacio (town mansion) Argensola, a 16th century Renaissance palace, with a small courtyard and a fine staircase leading to the principal rooms on the first floor, into a dwelling house. The original building was modified to the Baroque taste in the 18th century and converted into flats during the 19th century. In 1982 it was declared as a Historic-Artistic Monument. The project carried out has involved restoring the original appearance of the main façade, which has been disfigured by the 18th century reforms, and maintaining the original organic distribution, while not being ashamed to introduce contemporary techniques and styles where necessary in order to adapt the building to its present function as housing for more than one family unit.
