Description:
The history of the project begins in 1974 when the Municipality of Madrid purchased the garden of "El Capricho" in de Alameda de Osuna. In 1985 the garden has been declared to be of cultural interest in compliance with the preservation law of the Patrímonio Histórico Espanol. In 1986 the Restoration School Workshop "Escuela Taller" was founded. In 1999 was undertaken an ambitious program to recover the complex unity of the garden. Project finance support (1999-2001) has been made available through the Municipality's own resources and the support of the Fundación Caja Madrid.
