Description:
Restoration of a mid seventeenth century manor house, the so called Gräfenhof and conversion to town hall. The half-timbered building consisted of a long house, which was used for agricultural purposes and a two-storey cross house for residential accommodation. It lies in a dominant position separated by water from the small village houses. Rebuilding took place using original building materials as far as possible. Large parts of the timber structure had to be completely reconstructed. Part of the original long house which was destroyed was re-erected to supply the need for further space. Sections of the foundation were strengthened. Detailed interior renovation, of bas relief ceilings and colored ornamentation.
