Built in 12th century with several additions, 1209: church and chapter house, important extensions and additions from 15th to 18th century. The monastery was abandoned 1837 and fell into decay. Most of the roofs were lacking and had to be re-built. Extensive restoration of the monastery from a state of decay back to its original appearance and new use as university and for educational purposes.
