The first stage constituted a comprehensive conservation of the castle. Apart from performing the structural stabilization and redevelopment of the masonry, the project also encompassed countless and demanding artisan, handicraft and restoration works. Simultaneously, the site was upgraded with sanitary facilities and parking facilities for visitors with disabilities. Following the above works, the facades of the castle underwent an extensive restoration.
