Description:
The first stage constituted a comprehensive conservation of the castle. Apart from performing the structural stabilization and redevelopment of the masonry, the project also encompassed countless and demanding artisan, handicraft and restoration works. Simultaneously, the site was upgraded with sanitary facilities and parking facilities for visitors with disabilities. Following the above works, the facades of the castle underwent an extensive restoration. The related works within this second stage included: stone and metal mouldings, historic illumination, the tower clock and the clockwork, the fountain, as weil as the fence and the surroundings of the court of honour.
