Description:
In 1992, upon undertaking the restoration, the restoration and consolidation works were completed, but the restoration of the interior had not been undertaken, nor an archaeological excavation. The interior was untidy, dirty, and neglected, with darkened walls and vaults and copious patches. After the study, it was decided to conceive Ia Seo as an architectural unit resulting from an amalgam of styles. Typology, spatial structure, treatment of natural light and materials, have been the support bases of the intervention. This has consisted of general cleaning, repairing the essentials, restorations and equipping it with adequate facilities. Externally, the work has focused on the baroque tower, cleaning the walls of the four bodies plus the spire, cornices and sculptures.
