The palace has always been considered as the best representation of a Spanish renaissance Palace. Most of the restoration that had been necessary to this building had been to ornamental facades on the outside of the building, which had deteriorated. Acidity of rain water and the atmospheric contamination were the reason for decay. Main restorations: roof, sculptures and decorations.
