Description:
The restoration of the Chapel of Blessed John of Trogir - one of the key works of European Renaissance Art - was funded by the Venetian Heritage Inc. (New York). This was performed by an Italian restoration team under continuous supervision of Split's Conservation Department and international experts from the USA, Germany, Italy and Croatia. The team opted for non-aggressive and non-destructive cleaning methods. The aims was to enhance the legibility of the architecture and sculpture in the chapel, to even off its general appearance and to stop its deterioration.
