The Jury's citation: A conservation project with carefully chosen conservation techniques, most of them traditional, and the expressed will to continue monitoring and close maintenance of the site as results of deliberately chosen minimal interventions. The jury greatly appreciated the decision making process, for which a public forum was set out supplementary to the expert advice, and the regular reconsideration of decisions to ensure that correct options were carried out.
