This document was prepared to set out guidance in good conservation practice for those who maintain and carry out works in this iconic Victorian building. The study is divided into 3 parts: 1/ Description of the significance of the building ; 2/ Analysis of threats to the building's significance; 3/ Policies to address the particular vulnerability issues and protect what is significant about the building. The study also includes a Gazetteer which is intended to act as a day-to-day working document and a repository for recording change/events in the building.
