Various restoration works have been undertaken in the small town of Alingsås. 1- Extension of Town Hall, a timber building with wood paneling. It was built in 1769 as a Mansion. Internally it has been rebuilt several times, but the exterior was remarkable intact. 2- The Town Museum, built in 1731 as warehouse, 3- Social Services Building, erected 1910 as bank, converted 1960 to offices, 1972 additions of attic rooms - adapted now to its new use, 4- renovation of residential buildings, KV Altströmer, and new infill buildings, 5- KV Manen, renovation of residential buildings with shops and new additional buildings, 6- Bruno's Garvaregard, built around 1700 as tannery, extended 1815, now residential building Aim of the project 1- Expanded by adopting an adjacent office building, built in 1904, and connected by a bridge to the mansion. Repainting of the houses, roof re-tiled, vaulted cellar restored and in use as cafeteria. Office building altered internally. 2- Exterior restoration, mainly restoring the facades and new painting, extension of the central squares, 4- Three old buildings preserved, new infill buildings in timber construction, all court-yard areas for common use, 6- careful restoration with authentic materials, landscaping of the court yard.
