Description:
Rescue from decay and restoration of more than 100 Georgian houses and 9 terraces in Canning Conservation Area Liverpool. A special scheme for comprehensive external restorations of whole terraces and blocks of buildings was launched by the DOE Historic Buildings Council. 105 owners in the area participated. High quality standards for repair and replacements authentic and appropriate to the original construction and materials were employed throughout. Special grant funding was provided by English Heritage. Environmental improvements were undertaken to raise the quality of life in the area.
