Description:
The building from 1926, a former planetarium, was destroyed during WWII and rebuilt afterwards. In the course of the project it was restored and converted into a multi-purpose concert hall. Besides the demand for the creation of a functional concert hall the restoration of the building in its original form, especially of its dome was of major importance. The interior however had to be changed completely to meet the requirements of its new function. To serve the new usage the base of the building was lowered to add new floors and also the auditorium was raised one floor.
