Description:
This project is the realisation of a "soft" restauration of an old farm (Umgebindehaus), originally built at the end of the 18th century at Oberscunnersdorf (Sachsen, Germany). The "Umgebindehaus" is a combination of stone and frameworks and is an expression of rural architecture. During centuries it has been used as a farmhouse and dwelling. The current owner restored the whole complex and went to extremes using the original materials and he tried to respect the soul of the old building as much as possible. The surroundings and garden were laid out respecting the local landscape.
