Description:
The "Alte Pfefferküchlerei", an unique example of a traditional gingerbread bakery in Germany, is a half-timbered house, built around 1650. The building was used as a private hand craftsman-manufacture until 1937. From 1941 to 1945 and since 1961, the listed house is used as a museum. The building was rebuild several times. Work done: -Reconstruction of the Pfefferküchlerei in its typical style with straw-wrapped around wooden bars and filling up with a straw-loam-mixture -Drainage of the building -Stabilization of the House -Partial re-build timber -Restoration of old paintings -New floorboards and stairs -New roof (was laid with new roofing tiles) -New façade
