Description:
Restoration of part of the old town looking onto the Fulda including residential buildings, new infill buildings and a new pedestrian bridge. The fast degradation of this historic area through commercial usage and migration of the local population prompted plans to restore certain buildings and bring them in line with modern-day living requirements, within the context of a revitalization program of the area. Now the restored Kasseler Schlagd has achieved a pleasing link between the waterfront-buildings and the Fulda. Restoration of the timber framework buildings and demolition of certain commercial buildings. Providing parking place by building a new underground car park.
