Description:
Restoration of a former synagogue consecrated in 1872. During the pogrom on 9th November 1938 the synagogue has been destroyed. The building was sold and used as a storage room and as a mechanical workshop. The building was bought by the city of Drensteinfurt and is now open to the public as a memorial place and historical monument . A brick building with a hip roof. Restoration of both interior and exterior including a painted wooden loft and a slightly domed wooden ceiling with blue painting.
