Description:
The Endless Coiumn was created by Constantin Brancusi and built by engineer Gorjan in 1937/1938. The restoration program was financed by World Bank, World Monumenrs Fund and Romanian Minister of Culture. The designer of restoration solution is Dorin Danila Team from Union of Artists Romania; the area urbanistic arrangement designer is Lauster & Radu- Arhitects. The restoration was performed by Turbomecanica. The efforts were concentrated to welding repair the 4 modules (parts) damaged as a result of the past "examinations", the restoration of the 17 modules in cast iron, application of a protective coating and consolidation of the central spine. The restoration was finished on December 17, 2000.
