Description:
The building is situated in the untouched wooden centre of Lillesand. An early 19th century patrician house, severely damaged by fire in 1976 was adapted to the town hall. The Council joined forces with an independent body, forming a private limited company, being thus enabled to build a new wing to the old building. Restoration and rebuilding of the old wooden buildings. The new wings were discreetly placed on the hill with a roughly traditional form and color. Careful landscaping of courtyard, surrounding and car park.
