Description:
The Priory was re-built in the 17th century from its 11th century ruins. During the revolution it was sold off as national property and transformed into a farm. The building had undergone several conversions and had been neglected for years. The current owner wished to restore it to its former character and has achieved this, virtually single-handed. Several outbuildings on the north façade had to be demolished, blocked up windows were re-opened and vice versa, electricity and telephone wires were sunk, lawns and paths were set, etc. The interior has been partly developed.
