Description:
Restoration of the fortress Lagarde, built 1688 to 1692, which dominates the town Prats de Mollo. Officer Vauban built the fortifications in the design of a star, typical for his works. The fortress was used for military purposes until the 19th century. The buildings were sold to a private association, which had not the budget to maintain the fortress. In 1982 the buildings were more or the less ruins. Reconstruction of the roofs, and reinforcement of the fortification walls and ramparts, cleaning of stonework, new pavements, reconstruction of iron work.
