Restoration and anastylosis of the Arcadian gate and the city wall between the gate and tower 17. Rare example of Hellenistic 4th century BC defensive architecture of outstanding archaeological and architectural interest: 9.5 km long monumental fortification which is the emblem of the city. The project involved archaeological and archival research, consolidation and conservation treatment of the curtain wall and the Arcadian gate, identification and preservation of scattered blocks, identification ofthe original position of the wall, anastylosis of scattered blocks to their original position.
