Description:
Restoration of the townhouse "Au Blan Levrie" with gothic façade and conversion to office space. The building serves now as bank and office building. The gothic house dating back to 1530 had been subjected to several bad alterations with the effect that the structure had weakened and the walls were subsiding. The decorative façade was, however, in a reasonably good condition. After thorough restoration, particularly of the façade, the plan was to renew the interior in a contemporary style for the new uses. However, the discovery of part of the 12th century town wall resulted in an interesting and attractive combination for the interior of an ancient background with modern function.
