Description:
Clarendon Building, located in Belfast's Clarendon Dock, has been refurbished for Laganside Corporation's new Headquarters. Containing 6000 sq ft of good quality office accommodation it is one of the oldest remaining buildings in the Belfast Harbour Estate. The building has significance as an early site for ship building activity, which occurred in the adjacent dry docks in the early 19th Century. The buildings had been left in a bad state of structural disrepair and required sensitive restoration to retain much of the original building features, particularly the sandstone arcaded facade.
