Description:
Restoration of the former Curzon Street Railway Stationand conversion to office space. By 1978 this building was disused for well over 20 years and had reached an almost terminal state. The building provides now space for offices and a variety of community projects. Application for demolition by the owners, British Rail, was stopped with aid of public protest. Unsympathetic Hotel annex removed to leave the original, similar to the now demolished Euston Station. Sterilization of all masonry and retained timber, replacement and repair of the structural fabric, restoration of interiors and fitting out.
