Description:
Built in 1900, the former maltings at the Fountainhead Brewery in Halifax has been sympathetically restored to provide the Northern Headquarters for one of the UK's largest leisure groups. The maltings was completely refurbished in keeping with its heritage and now provides 3345 square meters of office accomodation at 4 levels. Much of the York stone exterior and steeply pitched Westmorland slate have been restored to their former glory and hardwood windows have replaced metal windows installed in the 1930's. Internal restructuring has increased floor to ceiling height and maximises the use of internal light in the building.
