Description:
The Swan Theatre has been created within the shell of the original Memorial Theatre destroyed in 1926 and subsequently used as a rehearsal studio. The Auditorium has a large apron stage surrounded by three tiers of timher galleries. The technical gallery aboye has bridges spanning the space for lighting and effects. The new tentlike stainless steel roof houses within its timber structure a large rehearsal studio, rest room and administrative offices. The art gallery and ground floor glazed link provide refurbished bar and foyers and house the RSC Collecion.
