Description:
The restoration of the façade of the Renaissance Scuola (1487) has provided an opportunity to broaden knowledge about this monument, which is important due to the variety and complexity of building materials used (seven different types of stone and marble) and the different types of decay present. The conservation campaign has seen to the consolidation of the stonework, the cleaning of the decorative surfaces, the removal of biological growth and carbon deposits, and the installation of an electrostatic system to deter pigeons.
