Description:
Restoration and rehabilitation to the original use of the so-called "Manica Lunga" which is part of the 17th century Castle of Rivoli, a former Residence of the Royal House of Savoy in Rivoli. It originally housed the royal picture gallery (Savoy Gallery), the sole part of the building still visible today. Since 1984 it houses the museum of contemporary art of Turin. Aim of the project was to preserve the authenticity of the original building, but also to fit the modern demands of the new use.
