Description:
The "Graues Haus" (literalls "Grey House") is supposed to be the oldest stone dwelling house in western Germany. It was the mansion of the Greifenclau family and housed later on the widows of the family. After the restoration is now used as a gourmet restaurant. Proportions of the rooms were kept, as well as materials and exposed masonry, stone and timber work. Additions of the necessary building services, arcades were closed with frameless glass constructions due to the wish of the preservationist of historic buildings. New iron furniture.
