Description:
Restoration of two city centre blocks. The buildings house offices and stores. The goal planning work was to restore and revitalize these buildings while showing respect for their cultural and architectural values. Lion Block: The old structural elements and interior details were preserved and restored. Floors plans were also left unchanged. An attempt was made to use decorating materials similar to those used in the period in question. Paints were in some instances made by hand with pigments, as the original paints were. Special care was observed in the case of the "Bel étage" rooms on the second floor of the Bock building and the very good preserved details of Burtz building, which open up a view of living culture in the 18th century. Rhinoceros Block: The task of the designers was to restore a color scheme and atmosphere representing the early 20th century.
