Restoration of a remarkable Elizabethan building from the 16th century, surviving in its own grounds in the outskirts of Liverpool, and surrounded by 20th century urban development. Repairs of the house included training of craftsmen, archeological recording and timber-dating, replacement of rotten timbers and compartmentation of roofspace. In the grounds the lodge, stables and farmhouse have been repaired and re-roofed, the courtyard and drive re-laid and new lavatories were built. Several garden features have been restored, including the Victorian Rose Garden.
