Six works of restoration, to provide a sample of the work undertaken in Amsterdam by Stadsherstel Ltd., the Amsterdam Company for Town Restoration. Over the past 30 years Stadsherstel has restored some 200 listed buildings and given encouragement to others to restore their properties, resulting in a significant contribution to the safe-guarding of Amsterdam's architectural heritage. 1) corner Prinzengracht/Vijzelgracht: restoration of 5 houses, dating from the 17th century, architect: G.Prins, Amsterdam, containing flats and shops, 2) corner Kalkmarkt/ Binnenkant: restoration of 3 residential houses, dating from 1650, architect: IJ. Kok, Duivendrecht; 3) corner Keizersgracht/Binnenkant: restoration of 9 residential houses, dating from the 17th century, architect: W.J. Klein, Krommenie; 4) warehouse at Reguliersgracht: restoration of two warehouses, dating from the 17th century, architect: Bouwbureau Stadsherstel, Amsterdam, former storage, then printing offices and archives, now converted to flats and bar; 5) corner Keizersgracht/Spiegelstraat: restoration of four living houses, dating from 17th century to 5 apartments and 2 shops, architect: G. Prins, Amsterdam; 6) Blaeu Erf: restoration of 20 houses from 18th century, architect: Bouwbureau Stadsherstel, Amsterdam, after complete dismounting, the complex was rebuilt and contains now apartments and shops;
