Restoration of the Burcht Complex in the centre of Leiden and its adaptation for various new uses: a public library, a café-restaurant, residential space In 1978 the possibility was offered to purchase in their entirety those of the buildings not owned by the municipality until now, and after this purchase it was possible to start the renovation of the complex as a whole. Restoration work of Heerenlogement and Koetshuis, Fountain Hall, restoration of the steps on the Burcht hill, laying the walk in the Burcht Complex, entrance gateway, restoration of the fencing of the foot of the Burcht hill, restoration of the residences around the Heerenlogement, restoration of the premises known as Burchtsteeg 12.
