Restoration of a mid 19th century Gas Court comprising gas house, gas manager's house, base of original gas holder, enclosing walls and landscaping of internal areas. Installation of displays demonstrating gas manufacture, history of gas industry and also commemorating the bi-centenary of the achievement of William Murdoch, inventor of gas lighting in 1792 and father of the modern gas industry.
