Description:
Restoration of a medieval manor house, with alterations and additions from several periods up to the 18th century, the birthplace of Percy Bysshe Shelley. Structural work included new foundations, new roofs, rebuilt stone and brick walls, new timber-framing, hidden steel frames and new chimneys. Redecoration using earth-pigment paints and based upon scrapes in each room. Landscaping and reconstruction of the surroundings comprising the original lake and river.
