Description:
The Palace's inner stable-yard was glassed over and its closed cross-wing was broken open, supported on pillars bringing the values of modern times face to face with ones of past eras. This magnificent atrium serves as the heart of the complex, a meeting point not only for readers but also for different ages. The children's library and the Budapest History Collection have been placed into the neo-Renaissance building. Two giant sculptures of mythical dragons enhance the beauty of its preserved inner court. The flowing life and cozy atmosphere of the new constructions are apparent through its glass walls and its lower floors house up-to-date open-shelved reading rooms facing the dragon-yard.
