As part of the comprehensive conservation of the former house and studio of the internationally renown portrait photographer, E. Chambré Hardman, his entire lifetime output in excess of 142,000 images are in the process of being catalogued, digitised, conserved and made accessible to view. They offer a unique insight into Liverpool and its people during the mid 20th century. This is the only surviving example of a photographic studio open to the public. Extensive historical research in Harman's notes and studio registers. An exhibition room has been opened where exhibitions are changed once a year.
