Description:
The brewery consists of several buildings erected at different times. Presumably, the brewery was originally housed in one of the buildings that were custom-built. Concurrently with increased activity, adjacent buildings were bought, rebuilt and extended. The building has been empty for a long time and were run down by the time. The town of Kalmar resolved to think about turning them into dwellings. A preliminary survey of the building indicated that the possibilities of turning them into reasonable flats seemed very slight. But as the drafting work progressed they realized that the project was feasible. Works done: industrial buildings renovated and adapted into residences. The final result is 24 flats in various sizes.
