Description:
Villa of Walter and Victoire Boveri, founder of Brown Boveri & Cie (1988 merger between Asea + BBC to Asea Brown Boveri). For houses of this kind architects were engaged who were among the best of their time : Karl Moser from Baden and Robert Curjel from Karlsruhe. The house and the landscaped, English-style garden were built 1898 . (Landscape architect: the Belgian Evariste Mertens, best Swiss landscape architect of his time). In 1908 the neo-Baroque garden with pavillion, garden sculptures, diverse fountains , bath-house with swimmingpool were built (architect: Carl Sattler, München). Exploitation today; house: events, seminars. Garden: open to the public. The house and the park are under protection of the Cantonal Monument Protection (Kantonaler Denkmalschutz) Authority.
