Description:
Restoration of a 14th-16th c. Gothic church and a free-standing tower beside. The roof shapes of the church itself were returned to their steeply pitched forms. Structural repairs were carried out and exterior lighting installed. The elaborately painted surfaces of the ceiling, pulpit and furnishings (1767-1833) were cleaned and restored. N.B. Project initially submitted in 2003. However, the Jury reserved their judgement until receiving evidence demonstrating that the new roof's form is actually a return to its original form. The supporting evidence was received in 2004.
