Description:
Restoration of the Dehn Palae, a stately mansion built in 1758 by architect Gottfried Rosenberg, as part of a generously planned new quarter, Frederiksstaden. Alterations took place in 1824, mainly internal and in 1872, when the building was adapted for a piano factory. The building serves now as headquarters for the Association Danmarks Apotekerforening. Extensive restoration of the remaining baroque storey and the bel etage, other parts, which were destroyed have been totally modernized. Restoration work comprises: re-tiling of the roofs with black-glazed tiles in the original profile; restoration of timber work; foundation work; reconstruction of the facades including windows, new plastering and coloring; restoration of ceilings and other important architectural elements in the interior.
