Description:
Complete restoration of a country house north of Copenhagen, built 1806 - 1809 by the famous Danish architect C.F.Hansen. Major alterations by numerous owners had more or less destroyed Hansen's stamp on the building. Now in use as office building with conference rooms and one flat. Complete restoration with respect for its original style and taking into account its new use. Exterior restoration: attic re-established, roof lowered and covered with glazed tiles as original, side wings have been given also attics and espaliers to become more anonymous. Interior restoration: original spatial division re-established to re-gain a clear plan, recreation of the original staircase, reconstruction of the octagonal vestibule with the typical hemispherical niches, furniture by Aalto and Wegner, modern installation systems added.
