The conservation team at Cecil Denny Highton have been working on the restauration and conservation of the old public offices (FCO Headquarters) for over eight years and in June 1990 completed and handed over the most important phase of this work, fully restored to the original Sir George Gilbert Scott design, to take its place as one of the finest examples of Victorian architecture in the United Kingdom. The meticulous approach to researching the details, testing materials and consultation with many leading authorities has resulted in an outstanding achievement with this nationally important building.
